The rest of the story...

My Mom used to listen to Paul Harvey when I was little. I remember her listening while she was cooking dinner, cleaning the house or probably as I know now trying to block out all the noise and get a little break!! But I remember he used to always end part of his story and continue the story the next day. I can just hear his voice in my mind "the rest of the story"
Well this is how I felt this week! There is always a continuation to the story! So here is "the rest of the story".....
So the day after Hannah cut Natalie's and her own hair.......

Natalie scribbled on my white bed spread with black ink.

The girls were NOT going to bed!!!
Brian and I were so SICK of going down stairs to DEAL with them! So I came up with the genius idea to separate them. I out Natalie in our room and thought she would be asleep in no time and that we would just move her. Hannah fell right asleep and I thought Natalie was asleep but I heard a noise and so I went to check on her. When I opened the door she was holding something behind her back. It was pitch dark in there so I did not see the scribbling job until I got closer! So for hours when I thought she was sleeping she was scribbling up and down on our bed spread.!!! Man oh Man I thought! How in the world am I going to get that out!

BUT AFTER A LONG CHAT WITH MY MOM, SOME SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET, 5 WASHES, AND 5 EXPERIMENTS OF: 1 HAIRSPRAY, 2 RUBBING ALCOHOL, 3 IVORY SOAP, 4 IVORY SOAP AGAIN AND OXI CLEAN SPRAY AND 5 ANOTHER SCRUBBING OF IVORY SOAP AND OXI CLEAN SPRAY I GOT IT OUT!!!!

A couple days after that...
Garrett broke his arm!
It was preschool day. The morning was going pretty good. I just had a few things to get ready for preschool and then I was going to take the kids outside to play. I was just finishing up and told the kids to get there shoes and socks on. Garrett went down stairs to get his socks and the next thing I knew he was screaming! I went down stairs and saw Garrett on the floor he had fallen right on his arm and could not push himself up. I thought PLEASE do not be broke. I asked what in the world he was doing! He thought monsters were after him so he would climb up on the washer ( Our washer and dryer are the front load kind and are on pedestals so they are very high!) to get away from them! He was trying to climb up there but lost his balance and fell right on his arm! That kid has quite the imagination!!!! Well I immediately gave him some Tylenol and put ice on it. I e-mailed Brian to see if I should take him in. Brian said just to wait until he got home. He would be home in a couple of hours. I told Garrett to just do the best he could at preschool. I kept a watch on him and my heart sank because just the way he was babying it I knew it was BROKE!
At one point of preschool he got down on his knees and just said a prayer (out loud). This is how it went: Dear Heavenly Father, Please help my arm feel better. It hurts so bad and I can't do my preschool work! In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

I was about to cry!!! At that moment I thought at least we were teaching him something right! He might not have listened when we told him not to climb on the washer and dryer but he was listening when Brian and I told him he could pray any where any time!

Well Brian got home from work and we called the physicians center if we could get him in rather than pay a higher bill at the emergency room. The only time available was 6:30. I had another meeting to attend to so I brought the girls with me and got a ride and Brian took Garrett to the Doctor. So when I got home Brian pulled up and sure enough he had broken it. He chose to get a blue cast. I felt so bad we had waited for so long but Brian said the Doctor thought it was actually good because it was not swollen and he was able to cast it!

That night was so miserable for Garrett. It hurt him all night and he could not get comfortable! He finally found comfort on the couch with Mom's puffy pillow.
After a couple of days we had to go and get this cast cut off because Garrett would NOT move his fingers and would scream when Brain and I would try to get him to do it. He also got his cast wet! So the Doctor just cut it open to see his arm was swollen and causing his fingers to hurt but there was no sign of that. After a long persuasion and bribes the Doctor and nurses got Garrett to move his fingers! The doctor put it in a splint and said to come back in a few days and then he would recast it. So we went on Thursday and this time he wanted red!

So the story goes....

"Spikey DOO"

THANK YOU
FOR ALL THE COMMENTS ON OUR LAST BLOG ABOUT THE HAIRCUTS. IT WAS INDEED A SHOCKER BUT IT HAS BEEN A LITTLE FUN SHOPPING FOR HEADBANDS AND HATS FOR NATALIE. My beautician friend did the best she could! There wasn't much left to cut. Hannah was very thorough on her job! But it is nice and cool for SUMMER! Natalie has been such a good sport. She does miss mom curling and pulling her hair up but she loved getting all the new pretty things for her hair and we call it her "spikey dooo". When we do her hair I take time to put some moose in it and massage her head for a while so that the moment will last a little longer and she LOVES it!!! Hannah has also been a good sport. She felt really bad and I don't think she will be cutting anything but paper again! Hannah also cut a chunk out her hair but my beautician friend blended it in with layers and you can barley notice!

Thanks to the Dollar store for most of the headbands. Thank you Brindy (my sister) for giving me some cute ways to make some head bands! I found another idea I have not done yet but looked cute! Thought I would post it for anyone else that might wanted to try it.

No sewing needed...just twisted strips of fabric hot glued into a circle!)

Mother's Day

Brian made me a feast!!! He served waffles with coconut syrup for breakfast! And shrimp, rice and Curry and some Chinese noodles. It was just FANTASTIC! Thanks Honey! Brian also bought me some much needed clothes! Thanks again Honey!

Flowers that Hannah made in her Primary class for me! I thought they were so CUTE!

Garrett and Hannah's flowers they made in preschool for me!

The flowers all together in a vase for our center piece of our meal!
Garrett and Hannah made some gift bags in primary for me! They got to out all kinds of items in the bag with cute sayings on them. Like the rock with the saying YOU ROCK MOM! It was really fun! They were so excited!
The coupons we made at preschool and I love using them!

Mother's Day was truly a mothers day! Brian fixed a fabulous meal for me and the kids were so excited to give me their gifts they made at church and at preschool. It was so funny to me that when making our mothers day presents at preschool My kids would talk all about hiding them and how they couldn't wait to see their mom's look of surprise. One little boy turned to Garrett and Hannah and said your mom is standing right there but Garrett and Hannah said no that is my teacher! It was just so funny!

Hannah came home from church not feeling very well. She wanted me to hold her and I loved that. She actually got really sick and puked all over me! I know what a thing for Mother's Day right! But even though the puke was not fun I love the fact that I am a mother! I get the privilege to take care of my children! I love being a mother!

What goes up must come down

Yesterday started out to be record breaking PERFECT! We actually got up early and there was no fighting and whining! (this indeed is amazing) The kids played so well all together and I was getting so much done! The kids played outside and they played hullabaloo and a Disney game and I was making bread and doing laundry. Things just could not go better.

Well then quiet time came and Hannah wanted to go to her own room and have quiet time with Natalie. I didn't think about it being a BIG problem. Garrett, Hannah, and Natalie are usually all separated during quiet time so Natalie can take a nap and the rest just play with puzzles or look at books or get to play with something quietly. This gives me a break and allows me to get something done so that I will have more time to spend with them when they are all up.

Anyways I didn't think it would hurt to let Hannah and Natlie to play quietly in there room. Things were so quiet maybe a little too quiet and things were going way to good that something was just bound to happen. But I was making dinner for us and another family that just had a baby. I was trying to get it done at queit time so we could read some stories and go outside and play some more all together!
Well quiet time was over and I called the kids up to have a snack. I turned around and there was Natalie and she said mom "I so pretty". I SCREAMED. Her hair was gone! I ran down stairs and there was piles of it all over everywhere. Anyone that knows Natalie, she had very long hair. I asked her if she cut her hair and she said "Hannah did it". For a while Hannah would not talk to me so I was very frustrated and she spent some time in her room until I could get her to talk to me (and give me a chance to calm down). I called my Mom and asked what I should do! I was liek in complete panic and shock mode!!!Hannah finally told me that she got her preschool scissors out and cut her Barbie's hair first then she cut a chunk out of her hair and then she cut Natalie's hair.

So here is some pictures. I know maybe this will be funny years from now but it is just so SHOCKING right now! I still have not fixed there hair I just do not know what to do.
I have a friend beautician coming tonight to see what she can do. Man I just feel like such a bad MOM! Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
So here are a few photos.

So here is our beautician!

March catch up

Happy Birthday BRIAN I just love my honey! I finally got to surprise him and go shopping without him finding out what it was! In Monument Valley this was hard to do since we always went shopping together since it was so far away to stores! The kids had so much fin and could not wait to pick Dad up so we could celebrate the day with him!

After searching in the brown paper bag Dad found an Ipod. I put it in the bag trying to disguise it so he would not know what it was.

My Mom and Dad gave him a gift card to one of Brian's favorite stores!! SPORTSMAN WAREHOUSE

The kids and I bought these glasses at the dollar store and wore them in the car when we went to pick Dad up from work! Hannah could not find hers when we went to take the picture!

For Brian's dinner I decked it all out with home made Chinese food. It was delicious!! We then had cake and ice cream! YUMMY!

SILLY OUTFITS
So here lately Natalie wants to get dressed all by herself! She insists on picking out her own clothes too! This was the craziest outfit so far! So white tights, with Mom's boots a jumper with a sweatshirt on top and then to complete the outfit a little white undershirt! Hilarious! I am just glad we didn't have plans to go somewhere.

Lydia's Blessing
It was so fun to participate in this Family event! We got to see my Dad who flew from Virginia! We had not seen him so long and it was so much fun! Lydia is beuaty it was so fun to see and hold her! Chris and Brindy will be terrific parents! My kids were so excited to see family everywhere we went! After the blessing Brindy and Chris reserved a place in their institute building for our family lunch. It was all such good food! The kids has a riot! It was such a big area for them to run and play with their cousins and cousins cousins! It was a very fun weekend!
I had my camera sitting on the table and someone I guess thought it would be funny to take a picture of my brother's head! I did think it was funny and left it on my camera to put in our scrapbook because of it being a little funny!

My dad! he was so helpful and looked so happy to see al of his Grandkids, daughters, sons, nephews, mom and sisters! How fun it is to be with FAMILY!

My nephew gabe was not feeling his happy little self! Poor Gabe!

Most of the kids would not sit still enough for me top even snap a picture of them. I got Zabe seeping of coasre and got Zoey to stand for me but not give me a smile!

Talking, eating and haveing fun!

SISTERS! How nice it was to be! But we are missing our youngest one!

Nicolette ended up taking Gabe to the doctor and he had an ear infection. After the meds he was feeling a little better! He loved to go to Brian!

Natalie just loved Lydia! She loved being so close to Uncle Chris and wanted to help and hold Lydia!
